Calgary Bach Festival Society Auditions for Choristers

The Calgary Bach Festival Society is welcoming auditions for experienced choristers in all sections.  Rehearsals are held Monday evenings, 7:30 - 9:30 pm at Knox Presbyterian Church, 3704 - 37 Street SW.
 
The Calgary Bach Festival Society Chorus and Instrumentalists will be performing two concerts next season: 
 
Music for Saints and Kings - November 22, 2009, featuring works by Baroque composers Henry Purcell (Te Deum and Jubilate for St. Cecilia's Day, 1694) and Georg Frideric Handel (Four Coronation Anthems, 1727).
 
Bach Birthday Concert - March 21, 2010 - Sacred Music for Passiontide, featuring music by Baroque composers Johann Pachelbel (Christ lay in Grim Death's Bonds) and J.S. Bach (Cantata for Palm Sunday and Mass in G Minor).
